Volunteer In August!

Help is need at your city’s Renewable Resource Center.  We are open on Saturdays from 9:00 to 12:00 and volunteering consists of helping patrons unload and sort their recycling.  We provide drinks and snacks and gloves and you provide the muscle!  You will meet the nicest people and have some interesting conversations…I guarantee it!

Send me an email if you would like to volunteer!

Here is the schedule:

  • July 28th:  White River Pentecostal Church Youth Group, LouAnn and Rebel Hays
  • August 4th:  Ryan Townsend (we need more volunteers on this day)
  • August 11th:
  • August  18th:
  • August 25th:

We need volunteers in September too.

Have you seen the rain garden at the entrance to the Recycling Center?  Bring your children to take a look at the hundreds of butterflies that are visiting the flowers there.  The rain garden was created and is maintained by our Master Gardeners. Stop and admire our new sign also!  The brick work was just completed by Ronny Coker and the bricks were recycled by Paul Libor who also poured the footings and erected the sign.  Dave McKee designed the recycled metal sign and everything was paid for by a grant at no cost to the city of West Fork.  The Renewable Resource Center is staffed by volunteers and the equipment and buildings have been paid for through grants.  We have been in operation for 5 years!

Paul and I would love to have you come to work with us! ~ Patty
